Role Overview Baker Hughes is hiring a Legal Senior Specialist - Contract Management (SSA Legal Specialist) to join its global legal team. This role focuses on reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements and managing legal risks across upstream, midstream, and downstream oil & gas operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate oilfield services contracts, tender bids, software licenses, subcontracts, and NDAs in both French and English.
- Ensure contractual consistency and alignment between French and English documentation.
- Provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders and business development teams on risk mitigation and contract law.
- Oversee legal operations initiatives, including outside counsel management and reporting key performance metrics.
Key Qualifications
- Education & License: Bachelor’s degree in Law from an accredited institution and an active license to practice law.
- Experience: 5+ years negotiating commercial contracts, with at least 2 years in the oil & gas industry supporting global operations.
- Language Skills: Fully bilingual (fluent written and verbal proficiency in French and English).
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical, leadership, and contract negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple complex legal matters independently.
