This is a senior IT leadership role at MTN Cameroon—effectively a technology/digital transformation executive position.

The role leads MTN Cameroon’s transition into a more technology-driven company (“TechCo”), using AI, cloud, IoT, automation, analytics, and modern infrastructure to improve customer experience, grow digital revenue, and strengthen operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Set enterprise-wide IT and digital-transformation strategy.
Lead technology investment, budgeting, cost control, and vendor negotiations—including a target 5% annual divisional-budget reduction.
Modernize IT systems and architecture; establish data governance and generate value from analytics.
Own cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, disaster recovery, and continuity planning.
Build alliances with technology partners and represent MTN in industry and policy discussions.
Develop an agile, innovative, diverse IT workforce and a pipeline of technology leaders.

They want someone who is fluent in English, has an Information Systems degree and recognized IT accreditation, plus an MBA or relevant master’s degree. The candidate should bring at least 12 years’ professional experience, including 5 years in strategic management within telecoms or digital business, multinational/emerging-market exposure, and evidence of leading major transformation or turnaround projects.
